Haunted Tombstone Projection Effect

After several months of preparation, I'm pleased to announce that the new Mr. Chicken's Haunted Tombstone is now available.

What is it?  The Haunted Tombstone is a very simple projection effect that anyone with access to a video projector -- any video projector -- can do.  You simply project my animated tombstone video onto a blank tombstone that you cut out, so it's sure to be just right for your haunt.

Watch the demo video below to see all the cool, creepy effects, and scroll down a little further for the how-to video.

The Haunted Tombstone video loop is available (in HD and standard definition .mp4 format) for download for $25 via Paypal here.

  2. Nice job! Are the different effects on separate tracks on the DVD or do all the effects play in a loop?

    1. Mark, it's all in a loop, but I could fairly easily do a version with separate tracks if someone wanted it that way.

      Thanks for the compliments, everyone!

  3. I am currently planning to kill the current president of your fan club so I can wear his skin and assume his role.

    This is RAD.

  4. I would love to do a version of this with just the slowly aging tombstone effects. No blood, bugs, cats, hands, etc... Is that something you have available? If not, any tips on creating such an effect from scratch?

    1. Hi Jeffrey, I've made a package of individual tracks available, which includes the aging tombstone: https://tinypay.me/~6NINaY2/individual-tracks-mr-chickens-haunted-tombstone-by-mr-chicken

The cost is higher because some folks wanted to set up multiple stones, each running a different effect.

    2. Is there any way of purchasing just the aging effect? I really will not need the others and, you know, tight budget and all...

    3. You could edit it out of the original version, if you like.

  9. This is the most awesome effect and very reasonable in price! Some of the other prop companies should take notice!

As soon as I can get to my pc I am in (on tablet/ipod at the moment)

  11. Different shape stones would be best!

  12. Perhaps you could do a low cost set of different shaped stones that are static for customers with 2 or more projectors.this will allow the gave-yard to look uniform in lighting and appearance. It is also a great tool for the home haunter who is a little artistically challenged!

    1. Believe it or not, in person, it doesn't look like much more than a tombstone with a light on it. If you're concerned about it looking like it has the same lighting as your other stones, you could either light them with white lights like the Davis Graveyard, or put a gel of the color you light the other stones over the projector lens. OR, because you get the actual video file, you could even pull it into something like iMovie and adjust the color to match your graveyard lighting.

...But I would consider doing more stones if there's enough interest.
